Sophie has worked for Mid Essex ITT since 2014 when she was appointed as the Marketing, Recruitment and Adminstration Officer, a newly created role to help boost the number of trainee teachers in local schools. After graduating in Psychology from University College London, Sophie went on to work in a number of student support roles. She was the Coordinator of London Nightline, a telephone helpline for students, for two years and went on to chair the National Nightline Association.
Keith Ferguson has been teaching at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form since 1997. He has held a number of different roles over this time. In 2001 he became Head of Year and maintained this role until 2008. He then became an Advanced Skills Teacher in ICT and worked across Essex providing support for a variety of different schools.
Kristy began her English teaching career at a comprehensive school in Oxford before moving back to Essex in 2003. Whilst teaching at Great Baddow High School, she held a pastoral head role in charge of KS4 girls. Upon moving to Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form in 2006, she worked as part of the Lead English teacher scheme for Essex schools, providing outreach support across the county.
Fiona Lane is one of MEITT's Course Tutors. She is an English and Literacy Advanced Skills Teacher and Specialist Leader of Education in Initial Teacher Training.
Lisa Perkins joined MEITT as a course administrator in December 2016, to support the MEITT team of Course Tutors, Programme Manager and Director. Previously, Lisa was the lead Receptionist for Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form.
Ciara joined MEITT in September 2019 as a course administrator, working alongside Lisa Perkins to support the academic team.
Dr Robert Morgan is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Teacher Education at the University of Greenwich. Robert is a qualified primary school teacher and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA).
Steve is an experienced senior leader and has worked in a number of Essex schools for the past 17 years. He has a keen interest in teacher training and supporting new teachers within the profession.
