Lead Subject Mentor for Modern Foreign Languages
Zena began her teaching career as a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages at Mayflower High School in 1998. Whilst teaching French and Spanish at Mayflower High School she also held a pastoral post of Assistant Head of Year and Second in Department as well as head of French. Zena also mentored a number of trainee teachers and Newly Qualified Teachers during this time.
In 2005 Zena became Primary Co-ordinator for languages at the Chelmsford County High School for Girls. Zena provided outreach for over 20 primary schools whilst mentoring primary school teachers in their implementation of MFL into their curriculum. Zena gained experience in providing inset for schools and ran several conferences within Essex and the LEA.
Zena joined Notley High school in September 2014. She is currently working as Second in Department and has been working as LSM since September 2015. Zena continues to teach the full MFL curriculum and teaches across the 11-19 age range.
