  • B Placement

  • End of B Placement

B Placement has come to an end for our trainees, and they will soon be starting back at their 'A' schools!

We have really enjoyed receiving some photos from their eight weeks at another school, where they will have gained valuable experience of a different setting, meeting different students and working alongside different colleagues.

We are so grateful to the B placement schools for hosting our trainees during this time.

B Placement can be a challenging period for some, but it is a hugely-important learning experience and one which will stand them in good stead as they embark on their teaching careers. Well done to all of you!

Welcome to Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training

Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training (Mid Essex ITT) is an outstanding school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme. This means that you will undertake most of your training within a local Essex school environment. We will train you to teach at secondary school level and, after successfully completing the course, you will be awarded QTS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) accredited by the University of Greenwich. We offer both full--time and part-time options.

We have over 25 years' experience of teacher training and more than 800 teachers have trained with us during that time. We are unique in that all our training is run by experienced, practising teachers. We are based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and we have links with more than 20 secondary schools around Essex.

Mid Essex ITT was recognised as Outstanding in all categories by Ofsted in October 2017.
