We often get asked when the deadline is for applying for our courses starting in September 2019. Although there is no official deadline, we do recommend applying as soon as you can. If you are successful in gaining a place, we would also like you to attend our Induction Training on 9th, 10th, 11th July.

Welcome to Mid Essex Initial Teacher Training. Mid Essex is an outstanding school-based Initial Teacher Training scheme. This means that you will undertake most of your training within a local Essex school environment. We will train you to teach at secondary school level and, after successfully completing the course, you will be awarded QTS and a Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) accredited by the University of Greenwich. We also offer both full time and part time options.
We have 25 years of experience of teacher training and over 750 teachers have trained with us. We are unique in that all our training is run by experienced, practising teachers. We are based at Notley High School & Braintree Sixth Form and have links with over 20 secondary schools around Essex.
